Recording & Testimonial Consent Notice

The organization running this interview uses Tessa to collect feedback by voice or text. Before you participate, here is what happens with it.

Your interview

Participating is voluntary. If you choose voice, you agree to be recorded so our voice provider can create a written transcript. We save the transcript and delete the runtime-side audio recording after transcript import. If you choose text, we save what you type without recording audio.

Tessa uses AI to conduct the interview and produce notes, findings, and testimonial drafts. The organization can review the private interview results. Our voice and AI providers process the relevant content to provide those features; their own retention and deletion timing may differ.

Your testimonial choice

You review the saved testimonial before approving its use. You can approve it with your chosen attribution, approve it anonymously, or decline its use. Tessa does not publish your raw audio, transcript, or private notes. An approved testimonial may be shown publicly if the organization chooses to publish it.

Approving a testimonial also lets us keep its associated transcript, private notes, participant details, findings, and revisions until you withdraw consent. Anonymous publication does not erase identifying information from the private interview.

Retention and withdrawal

Interviews with active testimonial consent are kept until consent is withdrawn or an authorized deletion is requested. Interviews without active testimonial consent follow the campaign's retention period, which defaults to 90 days.

To withdraw consent, contact the organization or [email protected]. Include your withdrawal receipt if you have one. Withdrawal removes the testimonial from Tessa's public display and erases its approved content and the associated sensitive interview data from active storage. We retain minimal consent, withdrawal, and deletion records. Copies already held elsewhere, including backups and Customer publications, have separate deletion processes.

You can stop the conversation at any time and ask for access, correction, or deletion of your interview information.
